This was a one day benefit performance for the actor's fun. The presentation was on a Monday evening at the Imperial Theatre using the Ain't Too Proud set. I used Howell's plot from the show to light the event and it looked pretty good. It looked like Spring Awakening and didn't look like Ain't Too Proud so that was good. Don't get me wrong...Howell's work on that was gorgeous, as was all his work. But it was nice that it really looked like SA. Dark, colorful and mysterious at times.

We got in Sunday evening after the matinee and that gave me a little advance programming time. I continued Monday morning, then there was an afternoon run-through with the cast, and then a show that night that was recorded for HBO. I called the cues and Tim Reed called the spots.

It was great to see the cast and band again. Some of them I hadn't seen in years and a few I had done many shows with since.

Here's some pics.

The last room rehearsal before our monday event everyone brought in clothes they liked and Michael and I pulled it all together. Lea brought in a second flesh colored dress and I said no. Wear the dark one. She looked really gorgeous that night.
